Background

I was an activist working with attorneys to reunite Lev Tahor children with their families. That work made me an impediment to Shie Blum and his cohorts, who were actively working to ensure the children remained separated from their parents. To remove me, a criminal allegation was manufactured.

The Fabricated Declaration

A teenager was brought to the Ministerio Público (Guatemala's public prosecutor) to give a declaration against me. The declaration is on official letterhead and bears official signatures. Critically, Shie Blum is listed as the translator — translating from Yiddish, even though the victim is a native Spanish speaker. The victim's father accompanied him — and while a parent's presence might seem natural, there was no legitimate reason for Shie Blum to be there. His sole purpose was to control the narrative according to his own agenda.

The allegation itself was that I had shouted at the teenager. Shouting at a teenager is not a crime in any country in the world.

Photographs document Shie Blum negotiating directly with me, offering to make the case "disappear" in exchange for conditions tied to my activism.

A Public Admission

Yitschak Teichman publicly posted on Yidtish.com that after I agreed to change my clothing and cease my activism, they would drop the charges against me. The post is preserved here in full.

Sentencing, Recordings, and the Returned Funds

I was sentenced and paid a $10,000 fine. This was done to demonstrate to the judge that the case was not a hoax — yet the evidence proves it was exactly that. The proof lies in what followed: recordings in which the victim's father states he would return the funds, deposit slips confirming the funds were in fact returned, and recordings of Gershon West — Rabbi Chaim Duvid Weiss's personal assistant — stating that the Rabbi himself ordered the father to return the funds.

You cannot return a criminal fine to a defendant unless everyone involved knows the underlying allegation was false.

Direct Admission of the Hoax

I received an email in Hebrew from Shmuel Fuchs stating, word for word from the victim, that the victim has nothing against me and that Shie Blum forced him to make the allegation.

Proof No Translator Was Ever Needed

A separate interview between the victim and a psychologist, conducted entirely in Spanish, proves the victim is a fluent native Spanish speaker. There was no linguistic reason for Shie Blum — a Yiddish speaker — to be present as a "translator" at the Ministerio Público. His presence was deliberate: to control the narrative and to prevent the victim from being cross-examined freely by the authorities.

A recording of Rabbi Chaim Duvid Weiss and Gershon discussing the case confirms that the Rabbi never authorized Shie Blum to put me falsely in jail. Blum acted outside any sanction he claimed to carry.
